About HERITAGE

HERITAGE is the current name given to the historic Oldland Mercantile (Hugus Building) in downtown Meeker.  It was built in 1912 and has been restored to its glory.

The dream of HERITAGE is to leverage partnerships to create a new retail opportunity dedicated to featuring local artists, supporting our local historical society and museum and creating a unique shopping opportunity for locals and visitors.

HERITAGE founding partnership was between Rio Blanco Historical Society, the Meeker Arts and Cultural Council,  and Ashleigh Christie's, a retail store offering vintage items, the works of Colorado artists, handmade jewelry, cards, chalk paint, art supplies, and gift items.

River Rhythms has joined the partnership as a music store that includes handmade Native American style flutes, string instruments, and more.
